she's beautiful

in her simple little way
Some nights were worse then other nights on the rector scale of excitement. Last night had been a total bore, something Roxanne Khristian Crest could not stand. She hated being bored out of her mind. Roxanne and Iris had had to return home for a family dinner. It had only been the parents and the twins for dinner though, Jonathan hadn't be invited. It wasn't until the first course that it hit Roxanne as to why it was they were forced to come home from school. It was the over bearing glare coming from her father that clued her in. He was mad, probably about something Iris and Roxanne had did while at school. However, Roxanne had a surprise coming. Eric Gabe Crest had other plans of discussion for the night.
Roxanne shivered as she remembered the cold words in which her father had informed her and Iris that he was closing in on a deal for their arranged marriages. He hadn't told either of them who it was that they would be getting married too, and Roxanne hadn't really expected him too. That night he had threatened them. Told them if they weren't on their best behavior, they would be cut off and kicked out. Of course if the old man had been paying a lick of attention to them, he would have already known that they were calming down. Picking their battles. It amazed Roxanne sometimes, just how little her father cared for his children. He wanted them to be the perfect slytherins, which wasn't too hard to do for the Crest children.
With a mental groan, Roxanne took out her newest broom that her father had bought her, and flew away from Crest Manor. It was fairly early, at least for Roxanne. She was use to wakeing up around one in the afternoon, after a party-filled night. Today, however, she had surprised her self and woken up at eleven am! After taking a shower and getting dressed, Roxanne had felt the need to leave the manor for an hour or two, too free her mind of the whole arranged marriages deal. If she knew her father at all, he'd be setting her up with some asshole. She was sure she was his least favorite child. She had always given him more trouble then the others.
Wasn't it good that she wouldn't let anyone roll over her? That she thought she was above the rest? Was that not what most Slytherins thought of themselves? It made no sense to Roxanne in the least that she would abtain her father's disapproval all beause she had more spirit then her older brother, who while he was a slytherin, wasn't a very good pure-blood. She supposed she and Iris were just always going to have their father dislike. Jonathan did not make things easier on then when it came to father. Of course, that would never make Roxanne think differently of her brother. She loved him, thought him to be one of the best people in the universe.
Following traffic of the sky, she quickly nabbed a parking spot in one of the many park lodges. Landing, Roxanne purse, Roxann headed straight for a well known cafe, Jitters. She went there mostly when she had a hangover, but she absolutely loved the coffee they served. It was not surprising that the place was fairly packed. It was a hit spot for most in the ArindaleValley. Sighing, she took her place in line, wondering vaguely if she could perhaps bribe her way up to the front of the line. She was a slytherin, and part of a well off family. It was beneath her to have to stay in a line with everyone else. Roxanne said nothing about it though. As a slytherin lady, she would just have to stand there looking refined, better then everyone else. She had been bred to be the perfect, nearly perfect, lady.tag:opened
