when my smile pierces through your bones right through your bones abraxas plz. Scorpius Malfoy let a sigh of relief slip out between his tensed lips. Then he slowly relaxed, softening his features again and let go of his wand, letting it fall to the stone floor. The young blonde man was leaning forward examining his left arm, the blood trickling from a jack in his almost white skin. Scorpius absently traced his right index finger in the small puddle of crimson red perfect blood, created in the palm of his left hand.
He didn't like it. His blood, yes, but not the whole wrist-cutting thing. Scorpius didn't want to be one of those wristband wearing, weepy, depressed sensitive guys. He most certainly wasn't, but he knew that that was what it would look like. He didn't do it to ease some made up pain, and as a matter of fact, not for some real pain either. It was just a bad habit. Kind of like smoking, but without the pre-ageing part. It was calming to see his own blood, kind of like to see that it was just as pure as it had been when he checked it the last time. And it was quite thrilling as well, to see how deep he could go with out chickening out.
He'd gone too deep once... Or twice, but at least he knew his limits now. Pain didn't always stop him, so he'd counted the seconds it was safe to press his wand against his skin. Two were harmless, if it's possible to use that word. His game was pushing it, and three and a half was about how long he had managed to count before he kind of panicked and lost count.
As mentioned he wasn't too happy about the wrist part. It wasn't at all as elegant and romantic as other places. But even though his scared faded quickly, it was easier to hide something on the arm than in the neck. Elegant, yes. Scorpius loved his morbid game. He knew how disgusting and inhuman, um, inwizard it was, it could easily pass for sick, so his cautiousness about dying really was nothing compared to the constant fear of getting caught. Scorpius himself had always seen that kind of behaviour really pathetic, and sadly, the fact that he wasn't doing it just so that he could feel bad for himself didn't make it much less pathetic.
Scorpius took a deep breath and tasted the metallic scent of his blood. He bent down and picked up his wand, clenched his teeth together and pressed the wand against the edges of his wound. He pulled up a tissue from his picket, wiped of the blood and creased it into a ball in his fist. And then tossed the damp red ball on the floor.
The only signs left of his passion now was a scab on his wound, that would heal in a couple of days anyway, the red ball on the cold stone floor, and some blood from it smudged in his right palm. He would visit a restroom and wash it off on his way home later. Now he just wanted to close his eyes, lean back against the wall and philosophize for a while. So he did.

Picking up his shirt from the ground and dressing it back, Abraxas leaned forward slightly to give the girl a last quick kiss on the lips before turning around and walk deeper into the dungeons, he didn't like the awkward conversations after the sex where he had to explain over and over again it was just a one time deal, that it would never happen again and that he wasn't looking for any type of relationship. Walking away sent the message and he was pretty sure she wouldn't bother him again, at least she didn't look like the type who took things seriously, but that was never a sure thing, most of the times they looked like the 'one night stand' type of girl but proved him wrong almost every time.
Running his fingers through his blond hair, he tried to wipe most of the sweat that was running down his forehead, the faint light provided by the few torches along the corridor didn't illuminate much but he wasn't in the mood to draw his wand, he liked the dark and together with the silence made the perfect combination, to be honest, there was only one thing missing in the picture. From his back pocket the young Malfoy took a silver flask and placing it on his lips he poured a nice a portion of whiskey down his throat, now everything was perfect, sex, alcohol and silence, what more could he ask for?Lately life was being quite boring, not much was happening inside the university grounds and if it weren't for the sex and alcohol he would have no idea what to do most of the time.
Ten minutes passed since Abraxas started walking, he honestly had no idea where he was right now, most people had never ventured so deep in the dungeons and he really had no idea why he kept walking but maybe he just wanted to enjoy the darkness and silence for a little longer. A couple of minutes went by and suddenly a figure became visible, Ab stopped in his tracks and raised an eyebrow trying to see if he recognized the person and if he or she was...still alive. Slowly he walked to whoever was there and a confused expression took over his face "Scor?" he questioned watching the blood on the floor and on his hand What the hell happened here?"

only you can mark my words Scorpius had enjoyed the situation quite well before he got interrupted. It had been one of those moments just disappearing. Kind of hippie-like, he thought, peaceful and empty and quiet, but yeah... Flawless, more rewarding than any interesting discussion or amusing drama. It didn't happen often nowadays, that he could just close his eyes and forget, not think about the time he's wasting, what he could, should, do instead. It had been perfect, until he recognized the voice addressing him.
He opened his eyes and blinked twice. Scorpius was already used to the dim light, but it took a while to make the connection between the voice and face. He didn't understand the question at first, but after half a second it clicked. He instinctively clenched his hands into fists and hunched his shoulders in a protective way, before he noticed that he wasn't acting as he should be, and then straightened up, looking like a Malfoy again. Hopefully his little brother wouldn't notice, or bother to think about it.
It was quite an exploit to have managed keeping it a secret this far. It was never anything special to Scorpius, but he figured that it must look rather dramatic from someone, everyone, else's point of view. He cleared his throat, "Ghouls", he chuckled lightly, "I thought this place was in better condition". For once, it was a bad lie leaving his mouth, but he hoped that Abraxas wouldn't think about it. They had never been tight, as Scorpius had spent more time with their father, Draco and his friends, than with the rest of his family. It was just shallow hope though, the boy's talent for lying wasn't helping him when he was caught off guard like this. "What are you doing here, anyway?" his voice betrayed some nervousness as he made an effort to divert his brother's mind.

Abraxas eyes kept examining the blond boy sitting on the ground against the wall, he took the flask once again to his lips but said nothing after closing it and putting it back in his pocket. Scorpius and Abraxas could not be the closest siblings around, that was true, but at least from his side, he loved his older brother as much as he loved any other member of his family, losing him could not even cross his mind, he knew that if anybody tried to hurt his brother he would make them suffer in such a way they would wish for instant death instead of what he would do to them. The closest relation Ab had among his family was with his twin sister, but it was only normal, they shared something that could not be explained, but that didn't meant he disliked his younger sister and older brother, far from it, they were the only people in his life he truly cared about and watching his brother bleed was doing him any good.
Abraxas laughed lightly as the boy mentioned 'Ghouls' "Yeah, they really should take care of all the...'ghouls' that wander around here." he claimed with a large grin that suddenly disappeared and instead a serious expression took over, anyone that knew Ab knew that when this happened, he wasn't at all amused and wasn't in the mood to be joking, his brother was bleeding and lying to him, what was going on? "Do you honestly think I would believe in all that 'ghoul' crap? It's me Scor, I know when you're lying and you should remember that I'm far from stupid" he claimed walking over to him and going down on one knee just a foot from him "I'll tell you why I'm here after you explain what happened." he added grabbing Scorpius hand and examining it. Even though he was his older brother, the little age difference placed them almost in the same level, but being who he was he respected Scor, although they were slightly different in personality they had the same core and they both wanted the same thing, pure-blood power.

Scorpius let his brother study his blood-stained hand. Most of the blood there was already coagulated, and it was easy to see that he wasn't injured. Well, at least it was obvious that his left hand was completely intact. He freed himself from Ab's grip and stood up. He was smiling, not mockingly or jokingly or anything, it wasn't a smirk. Just a kind and reassuring smile, the kind of smile that was reserved for his family only. "Look, I'm okay" Scorpius said calmly, "Don't worry about it".
He wasn't lying about that, he was okay. But he probably wouldn't have a problem with lying either. Scorpius' conscience wasn't that harsh on him, and although he didn't like lying to people he actually liked he'd never felt bad about covering up his... habit. He himself didn't want anyone to know, and his family, they probably had it better not knowing what a freak they were so closely related to.
Scorpius knew that Abraxas was right, his little brother wasn't stupid, true. He'd considered trying to convince him, 'Okay, I don't know what it was, but something bit me'. But even though the chance of that Ab would trust him and let it go was quite small, it at least was more likely than that he would believe him now. It was better not to push it. Scorpius didn't like worrying him, but it couldn't really be helped. His little game was nothing but a hobby for him, but he knew it would severely upset Abraxas. And the rest of the family as he told them. Yeah, it was better to watch him suffer just the tiniest now for a few short minutes.
Scorpius took a hesitant step past his brother, "You know I wouldn't let anyone get away with hurting me", he said, letting his smile broaden into a grin. And that was in the highest degree true, he wouldn't just sit there and bleed if there had been a fight or something. Abraxas should know that. "Come on now" Scorpius said, smiling kindly again.

Abraxas was thinking about all the possibilities that could've caused his brother bleed in such a place, never before had he heard about any kind of creatures wandering around the dungeons, yes, they were dark and yes, it would be a great place for many beasts but the university was a safe place, all the staff inside the grounds did their best to protect it from unwanted guests therefore guarantying the safety of the students so basically, Ab was more than sure that his brother was lying. Which brought another question to his mind, what happened to make him lie? There was no wound and no scar but he knew Scorpius had great skills with his wand so he could very easily heal it. Did his brother fall and was embarrassed to say so? He was proud enough to do that. All this was crossing the young Malfoy's mind in a nano-second, his brain worked at the speed of light and he was known to think five steps ahead of everyone else, nothing passed unnoticed, so, the possibility of his brother cutting himself also crossed his mind but it was immediately discarded since he was pretty sure Scor would never do anything of the sort.
"I just want you to know that... I'm your brother and you can trust me with anything..." he claimed almost in a mumble after Scorpius stood up, a few seconds later he did the same and his grey eyes never left his brother's.
Abraxas laughed gently at his brother's words about not letting anyone get away with hurting him "I better hope so, I don't want to save your ass every time you get in trouble" he joked with a wink, Ab remembered the large amount of hours they both spent with their father during the holidays to practice their wand skills, the three of them would go back home filled with bruises, wounds and blood, it was anything but painless, but to be honest, he loved every minute of it. "I guess protecting you it's my job, since I'm surrounded by three sisters" he teased laughing, Ab had the habit of making those type of jokes since his older brother was smaller and thiner than him, but it was just for fun, he knew better than anyone that his brother could defend himself without much effort.

"Yeah, I guess you're right" Scorpius shrugged and started walking, as a reply to both the jokes. If he hadn't been tired from some sleepless nights thinking about his future with -insert random pure-blood girl's name here- he probably would have come up with some witty counter, at least nudged him or well... disagreed, but he couldn't quite be bothered. He was about to ask what Ab was doing in the dungeons, now again, but he was getting his hopes up on that the somewhat dramatic state that his brother had found him in had already left his mind, so he quickly decided to ditch that idea of a conversation.
Scorpius decided to ignore the statement Abraxas had mumbled, it was just easier to pretend as if he hadn't heard it. He didn't enjoy lying to him, and hearing 'I do trust you, but you don't want to know this' probably wouldn't make his brother feel much more satisfied. It would only trigger him, if the case was so that he was already forgetting it.
"You haven't heard anything from mum and dad lately, eh?" He asked him instead. As a way to distract him, but also out of interest. It would be strange if Abraxas hadn't thought about the whole arranged-marriage idea that seemed to have struck every pure-blooded parents in Britain. It was understandable, but at the same time... Well Scorpius did catch himself hoping that his parents would decide to leave it to someone else, and let their own kids be. But he knew that that was nothing to hope on. He couldn't let himself be that naive.
