Oh baby, your a classic Like a little black dress Your a faded moon, Stuck on a little hot mess. It wasn't too unbelievable that most clubs and bars on Saturdays, or like tonight, Fridays, were packed. Weekends were the ticket away from work or school. Everyone needs an escape from their regular routines, and what better way than to go somewhere, get drunk, and have fun? It definitely was something that'd occupy your mind. There was one man in particular that had been in the packed Seven Deadly Sins nightclub for about a half hour, generously downing his third drink this night. Despite the random person who'd say hello to the man or sit down briefly for a quick drink, he was alone. Sure, he'd fidget, but never really would stand up; not even to dance when a good song would pump through the speakers like everyone else. It was strange behavior from the boy, yet to assure the outside world of his well-being, a light smile was still etched on his face. Just because he was drinking alone didn't mean he was upset by any means. Just some days, people don't mind the seclusion of being alone.
It wasn't too dark in the club. Even though the lights were dim, bring neon lights above flashed and fluttered apon all in their way. The green and purple danced across the top of Peter Witt's dark hair, and once more caused the half empty glass in his hand to glitter slightly apon the counter top. The excitement that echoed in the building made Pete's eyes once in awhile dart from one place to the other, only to be brought back to the empty space in front of him. The clock's hand tenderly touched the eleven forty, before it continued ticking away. Time just sometimes went by too fast... unlike school, which ticked on for forever. Today especially had been long and tiring, taking one test after another, and homework on top of it. It was absolutely insane.
It was times like these that he loved living in the magical world, over in England. Even though he used to sometimes drink illegally anyway, legal was less of a hassle. In the magical world, the legal age for about everything was seventeen. Even if he just remained in England without magic, he'd still meet past their legal age of eighteen. While if he were still over in the States, he'd have to wait until he turned twenty-one, which would be a year from now. The only thing that was legal at eighteen where he comes from in Chicago is to gamble. Frankly, Peter really isn't a gamblin' man like Oogie Boogie. Pete could definitely be pretty competitive, but when it came to gambling itself... it just didn't really take his interest. Maybe smoking and drinking both weren't really the smartest things to do, but he was smart enough to know the possibilities of gambling. As well, it could be addictive. Peter doubted he'd ever get addicted to it, yet the possibility was too much at hand.
Pete yawned lightly as he let his fingers tap to the beat of the music. His lips lightly mimicked the words sung in the song, a familiar tune, only to be interrupted by the glass' presence. Never did he deny liking to drink, or get drunk for that matter, yet he definitely didn't have an alcoholic problem. He rarely drank, and tried to keep it that way, with or without the time. Especially with the fact that he used to have a habit of smoking, he'd rather not try and pick up on any more addicting habits. It was always nasty to deal with later on. Pete sighed quietly, closing his eyes as he stretched out his legs to keep from cramping. Doing so, his smallish frame finally touched the ground below. He grinned a little more as he felt the bass through the floor into his Converse, the floor vibrating much more than the chairs were.
Randomly, his thoughts traveled back through his day so far, the smile he had been wearing faltering slightly. It had been the regular boring college day, going through classes as usual. However, something stuck out like a sore thumb more than anything else. It made him even cut back from shouting his hyper hello... The look on his best friend, Kat's, face. She looked different, almost distraught. Now, he knew that she did have a bit of a depression problem, which he tried to help her out of whenever he could, but this wasn't her random depressing day. It was like something had happened to her... But of course, he was just guessing. None the less, he just hoped she would be alright. If she didn't look any better the next time he saw her, he'd probably ask about it if she didn't ask for his comfort first. Out of all his friends, Kat was the one he worried most about. They'd been friends for so long, despite their families' stupid rivalry.
It happened back when Pete's father was still going to Hogwarts. Of course, Pete's father always got way to mad for him to spit all of what really happened out... but all he knew was that supposedly it was Kat's father's fault for whatever happened and that her family would always be the most wretched family on the planet and yada yada. Peter ignored it, of course, especially with Kat being his best friend just about once she went to Hogwarts a year after he did. They just had that bond that made them not inseparable, but almost always together. It made him happy when they could continue being so when she came into college with him after she graduated. All together, that made about eight to nine years of friendship. When his father found out, he went off his rocker in a flash. He almost disowned his son for 'such a crime'! Now, he rarely talks to him, even though that wasn't anything new. Besides, he never really was that fond of his father.
Being alone sometimes gets old quick, though. As time rolled on and his glass drained down, he grew somewhat bored. You could suppose sitting around like that for almost close to an hour now would do that to you. By now, there was no familiar company in sight anymore, and the bartender wasn't always the most talkative of folks. His glass was just about empty, he realized as he glanced downward. Maybe in a few minutes he'd head out... Pete didn't really have a goal nor purpose for coming anyway, so maybe it would be best. He nodded to himself slowly, before draining his drink down entirely. So much for a good night out... [/blockquote]

baby, YOUA l w a y s . k n e w . h o w . t o . b r i g h t e n . m e . u p . Pete had always been Kat's best friend. He was so sweet, kind and he always knew how to cheer her up. Merlin she needed him now more than ever. She had had the worst time of her life and he had always been there for her. But for once she hadn't been able to confide in him. It wasn't that she couldn't find him. No, he had been there and he had been trying to get her to talk to him but the words just wouldn't come out. She wanted to tell him what was wrong but all she had been able to do was sit in his lap and lean her head on his shoulder like she did when she was younger. Katherine had never been able to talk about her problems. She was never one to talk about them.. even with him. She wanted to make an exception for him but it was simply part of her personality. She was just so closed off. Despite her natural peaceful and happy personality, she could never bear her soul to anyone. She coped in other ways. Having depression nearly killed her at times. Literally. There were several times in her life where she had tried to kill herself. The sweet little Hufflepuff girl had a bad past. Oh, don't get me wrong, her parents were good to her... on occasion. They were wealthy. Gave her everything she wanted, except the time of day. She was ignored as a little kid, and it didn't help that she had horrible case of depression and BiPolar. Another reason why she had always been one to cling to Pete. When she was in the midst of her problems, he could always be there for her when she needed it. When she had her break downs, he knew how to cheer her up, or bring her back to reality and stop her from doing something stupid. He was always there to put her back in place. He had always done that for her. She was like a puzzle and he was the missing piece that put her back into place. Currently, her heart was torn in two. She had just seen her boyfriend of seven months sucking faces of another girl. What was worse? When she had stopped and dropped all her books, screaming his name in shock and all he did was stop for one damn second, look at her then go back to the other girl. What a blow to her ego. She had never been cheated on before, as she had never really cared to be in too many relationships, and this just made her feel that perhaps there was a good reason she didn't date. Sure she was a people person but the only guy she had ever felt completely comfortable around was Pete. He was the only one who she knew would never betray her like that. He'd never hurt her.. and he'd certainly never leave her when she needed him. It was getting late when Kitty left the castle and the cool wind on her face was enough to dry her tears. Sniffling, she brought her hands to her face and took in several deep breaths before wiping away the silver tear stains. The night was dark, and she just needed a place to get away. A place to forget. What better place then the Seven Deadly Sins? She could get drunk as hell, and she was personal friends with the manager, so she could spend the night there in the back room and simply sleep it all off and hopefully she'd see Pete soon. Ugh but how could she even talk to him about this? She had never been able to talk to him about boy problems. Sure she could cry to him, but she could never tell him why. It just wasn't that comfortable. Too bad she had never had any girl friends. Reaching a place of where she could apparate, she closed her eyes and thought hard of where she wanted to be. "Merlin, just get me there fast.." she muttered shaking her head. Taking in a deep breath, she disappeared with a small pop. No less than a minute later, she appeared in front of the bar. Bitting down on her bottom lip, she looked down at herself. She felt embarrassed. Hell, she wasn't even inside yet! Why was she embarrassed? More so because she was in a short black dress that was like nothing she had ever worn before. She was only wearing it because after her boyfriend had dumped her she had never felt more unattractive in her life.. so what else could she do but wear a slutty little dress to pump up her self esteem? Walking into the club, she took a deep breath in, inhaling all the smoke and the smell of alcohol. It smelt so good. To her, she had never been too much of a party-ier, but on occasion, she drank to her heart's content. She also smoke a bit, but never as much as anyone around her. Blue eyes scanning the scene she sighed. For a moment, it seemed as if another night alone. As she walked through the crowd, she could hear several wolf whistles, yet she ignored them. It wasn't Until someone grabbed her ass did she jump. "Excuse me?" she hissed a she spun around. Unfortunately when she spun around, she was pulled into some strange man's arms. 'Come here love.. Mmm, don't you look lovely.' Wrinkling her nose she tried to push away, but he wouldn't let go. "Let go of me you creep!" she said, still, he didn't budge. The man was strong but the smell of alcohol about him. Obviously he was drunk. But he was a big guy and Katherine was a mere four eleven and ninety-five pounds. She was no match for him. Bitting down on her lip and struggling against his chest, she felt a tear run down her cheek. Merlin. Why'd she have to be so stupid and wear that damned dress? That man wouldn't have looked twice at her if she was wearing her jeans! That was when she looked towards the bar and recognized someone who at this moment, she could very well kiss. A dark head of hair, with tattooed arms. Pete. Immediate, her eyes widened and she struggled a bit more. "PETE!" she called out in a pleading voice, hoping to dear god that he would hear her over the thumping music. However, as soon as she called out for her best friend's name, the man she was standing with roughly grabbed her and kissed her. Quickly she kicked at him and pulled away, slapping him hard across his face. "PETE HELP!" Merlin she knew Pete wasn't one for violence but she needed her Peter Pan.

Oh baby, your a classic Like a little black dress
Your a faded moon, Stuck on a little hot mess. He just didn't get why she hadn't been able to talk to him before... It never was an issue in the past. Maybe he didn't always ask questions, but he didn't need to. She seemed to feel so comfortable around him, and Pete was glad for that. Especially since he always felt so comfortable around her, as well. Well, at least most of the time. He remembered times as kids when they were literally the best of friends. They went about everywhere together! He never felt awkward or embarrassed whenever he was around her. Instead, he felt strangely safe as well as being the one who'd save her whenever she was in trouble. He was like her own personal Peter Pan. Pete was considered a Peter Pan not only for the fact that he did help people out, but that he never really enjoyed growing up. It was strange how things could change from the days when swimming in the lake was merely leisure, or even come close to their childish skinny dipping...
Ever since he started up his late teens, and new found adulthood, Peter couldn't help but feel a little bit strange around his best friend. Oh sure, they definitely still had their friendship. That was one hundred percent given. However, there was something more though. Sometimes, he'd find his heart beating a little bit faster whenever she was around. Sometimes, he'd find himself making sure that he looked pleasing enough. Usually he didn't care what people thought he looked like. He just dressed however the hell he wanted. As long as he liked it, that's all that'd matter. Yet he'd fidget and play around his hair a little, and smile even more than he used to. Now, he had a little bit of an idea of what was going on, but he didn't want to accept it. Having a crush on a best friend wasn't the most uncommon thing in the world, but it wasn't the smartest idea. It could ruin the friendship! Besides, he continuously denied it in the back of his mind. It couldn't be true. How could he like her? It seemed near impossible.
Kat was definitely a beautiful girl, though. He'd always known it. Never had he seen her in this view of light, though. It kind of terrified him that he could think of her that way. What else could he do, though? It seemed almost impossible to ignore, but somehow he managed to try. No matter what, he had to make sure that he kept everything locked up. If anyone, especially her, were to find out? It could ruin all the years they put into their friendship. So, he gritted his teeth and bared it all. Just hopefully the feelings would just... go away or something. The only bad part was, a part of him didn't want these feelings to go away. They felt sort of right. As if he was supposed to feel this way. Damn, why'd it all have to be so confusing?
Pete was just about to stand up and head out when he heard some commotion going on a little bit away from where he was. At first, he probably would've ignored it tonight, but his thoughts stopped short right when he heard a high pitch voice that was all too familiar calling out towards him. Turning around, his thoughts were correct as he saw Katherine's face etched with fright as a tall, overpowering man advanced on her. Peter didn't even have to think twice before he shot up and bee-lined straight towards the two. He didn't have an elaborate plan... He never did. Alot of times, Pete tended to act before thinking. His sometimes short temper tended to get him piled high in troubles he shouldn't of gotten himself into. What else could he do though? Wendy was in trouble.
This man was considerably taller than him, but Pete felt twice as tall. His fierce eyes intimidated those around the area, and there was no competition... right? The vision of the bastard's lips crashed against hers sent fire in his eyes, and loudly he said, "Hey asshole!", before grabbing his left shoulder and punched him across the face with his right fist. The hard bones in the man's face cracked his knuckles, and made Pete shake his hand once from the sudden spasm of pain that soon faded away. Grumbling slightly, he grabbed Kat's arm gently and lead her to where he was sitting before, putting her in front of him along the way. He waited for Kat to sit down before he leaned himself against the counter, biting his lip ever so slightly. Waiting for the man to be out of sight, he finally let out a sigh, and with tired eyes gazed upon Kat's body.
"What are you wearing, sweetie?" He asked with exasperation, his hand touching his face a little. Before she could even say anything, Pete flung his black hoodie from off of a previous open stool and put it over her shoulders, a slight frown on his face. Just by the way he couldn't stop himself before from taking a quick glance at her, he knew every single other guy in the club was looking at her and thinking about her in all the same ways. It all just pissed him off a little more. Finally, he took a good long look at her face, and dropped his anger just like that. She was upset... and obviously not just from the sudden scene that occurred just then. "...You alright?" Pete asked, lightly enough for her to either answer the question or cry in his chest like always. [/blockquote]

baby, YOUA l w a y s . k n e w . h o w . t o . b r i g h t e n . m e . u p . This was not how she wanted her night to go at all. She didn't need this. If anything, she needed to get as far away from here as possible. Sure she still wanted her drink, but it didn't seem worth it anymore. In her current situation, she was scared. With every second she spent trapped in this strange man's arms, she felt more and more violated, especially since his hands began to roam. Kitty tried her hardest to fight, but she had always been so small it was hard. The more she seemed to struggle, the harder he pressed her to his body. "Stop!" she muttered, pushing against his chest. But, just like her other times her attempts were in vain. This time, he responded by reaching a hand down, running his fingers along her leg, then slowly up her dress. Immediately, she tried to pull away again as a few tears came from her eyes ands he couldn't help but find it incredible that no one else was there seeing this... trying to help her. She felt alone and vulnerable. "Just let go." she said quietly, turning her head as he attempted to kiss her again. Apparently the man was less than that she wouldn't comply and this time, instead of trying anything else with her, he growled slightly and slapped her across the face, while still keeping her pressed to his body so she wouldn't fall back. The loud crack, followed by a whimper from Katherine was enough to grab a bit of attention from the small crowd inside the club, but not enough to rise any sort of commotion or have anyone come to her rescue. Shaking of fear, she raised her hand to where a small bruise was forming and traced her skin with her finger, eyes looking towards the ground. "Merlin, what the hell do you want from me?" she breathed. She was only answered by his hand running up her thigh and once again slipping under her dress. Her body shook even more as she simply stood there not knowing what to do, knowing that if she fought, he might overpower her and hurt her even more. Seeing Pete was like a miracle, and she tried her best to keep her watery blue eyes on him. She needed him. However, the man didn't seem to like the fact that she was calling out for help, because he only gripped tighter of her. However, when he caught sight of Pete, he looked at as if he was about to laugh due to his size. Pete was considerably shorter than him.. in fact, he was a good foot shorter. Still, that didn't stop Pete. Over the years, size had never stopped Pete. Not when she was in trouble. He was always one to put everything aside and step front to protect her. Ever since they were young, Kitty had always been prone to doing stupid things, but Pete was always the one to protect her. Always the one to pull her out of the fire, no matter the consequences. Despite his size, he could certainly pack a punch. The moment his fist collided with the man's cheek, he let go of her and she crashed to the floor, landing on her backside, letting out a 'umph'. Looking up at both of them with tears in her eyes, she watched as the other man staggered backwards, growling. For a moment, he looked as if he was about to retaliate and go after Pete, but then he simply grunted and stalked off in the other direction, while Pete grabbed Kitty and helped her over to where he had been previously sitting. Her body was shaking from fear and she felt completely foolish. Like she shouldn't be there.. like she didn't want to be. Why'd she have to wear that dress? Ah well, at least she was with Pete now. She wouldn't have to be alone. At his question she rolled her eyes stubbornly and slightly moved away from his touch as he reached his hand out to touch her cheek. Several tears fell down her face and she leaned forward and let her arms rest on the bar then let her hands cover her face. How was she supposed to explain herself? She was a complete fool! When she felt his hoodie being draped over her, she pulled it a bit tighter around her shoulders, still refusing to meet his gaze. She knew people were staring at her.. at them. She just wanted out. Taking in several deep breaths, she opened her eyes and looked over at her best friend after wiping the tears from her face. She couldn't take it anymore. She needed his support. She just couldn't keep alienating him. Sniffling slightly, Kitty crawled into Pete's lap and wrapped her arms around his neck, burring her face in his shoulder. "No.. I'm anything but." she breathed, hugging him tightly. "He cheated on me. After seven months, Aaron cheated on me. And then today this big oaf has to come and try to take advantage of me. What the hell is wrong with men? Maybe it's just me that they have problems with. Maybe I'm just easy to take advantage of. Maybe..." her voice fell quite as she clearly felt she could no longer talk about it. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath in, she spoke softly again. "Pete Im so sorry for not talking to you. I miss you so much." With that, she placed her usual tender kiss on his cheek, before burring her head back in his chest.[
